Hey everyone! My 3070 just died while I was gaming, and now I'm stuck trying to decide which GPU to get next. I do a lot of video editing and enjoy story mode games, and while I'm currently gaming at 1080p, I'm looking to upgrade to 1440p in the next couple of months. I'm debating between the 4070 and the 5070, with a possibility of stretching my budget for the 5070 Ti. Also, I have a Ryzen 5 3500X CPU, but I'm planning to upgrade to a 9800XD later. My power supply is 850W, so I think I'm set on that front. What do you all recommend?

I'd say go for the 5070 Ti if you're thinking long-term—it's great for 1440p and can handle some 4K gaming as well! The 5070 is still a solid choice if you plan to stick with 1440p for a while, less future-proof though. You might find both at MSRP, so check around at places like Best Buy or Walmart!
Honestly, the 5070 is the way to go if you can swing it. It seems like a pretty good upgrade overall if you want more power!
Rule of thumb—if the 4070 is cheaper and it looks legit, definitely grab that one. But if you can find the 5070 for a similar price, it’s worth it for the extra future-proofing!
If the 5070 is available for you, that's a great pick! But if it’s tough to get, the 4070 could be your backup plan without too much sacrifice in performance.
Thinking about selling that dead 3070? You could put that towards your upgrade!
I checked and in my region, the prices for the 4070 and 5070 are exactly the same, so that's good to know! But make sure to compare performance benchmarks.
