Which GPU Should I Choose: 4070 Super or 5070?

I've been exploring various GPUs for my upcoming build, and I've stumbled upon a bit of a dilemma. I found the PNY VERTO OC 4070 Super for £649.95 and the ASUS PRIME OC 5070 for just £529.99. Since the price difference is significant and performance-wise they seem pretty similar, I'm wondering if it's smarter to go for the cheaper 5070 or maybe even pick up a second-hand 4070 Super at a similar price. I'll likely be pairing it with a Ryzen 7 9700X, but I might upgrade to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D in the future. Any insights would be appreciated!

From what I've seen, the 5070 is generally better than the 4070 Super overall, especially considering the price. If you're sticking to a budget, it sounds like a solid choice!

Could you elaborate on that? My understanding is that the 4070 Super has better raster performance. A lot of people feel the 5xxx series from NVIDIA has been a disappointment due to the lack of certain features, which might impact performance.
