I'm torn between keeping my 5070, which I got for $550 at MSRI, or switching to the 7900 XT at Microcenter for about $600. I'm aiming for a GPU that can last me 4 to 6 years without needing an upgrade, mainly for 2K gaming. I don't expect to run everything on ultra settings or anything like that though. Which one do you think would be the better option for my needs?

I really think the 5070 is the way to go, especially with its support for DLSS. It'll give you that extra boost in performance that could make a real difference, especially if you’re not too picky about visual artifacts. Plus, the DLSS tech is a game-changer for maintaining smooth frame rates!
I just learned more about DLSS too, and like you, I don’t mind if some frames are generated instead of real. Do you think this makes up for having less VRAM? Is VRAM still critical for gaming moving forward?
