Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and could really use your advice. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2640 v4
- GPU: GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
- PSU: DeepCool De600v2 600W
- RAM: 2x8 2133MHz Machinist
- Motherboard: Machinist RS9 X99
- Monitor: HP w2072a 75Hz
- Storage: 240GB Kingston SATA SSD and a 1TB Toshiba HDD.
I bought the motherboard, CPU, and RAM from AliExpress over a year ago, and they work great together. My PSU has a single 8-pin (6+2) connector for the GPU, and I'm considering either the RX 6600 or the RTX 2060 (including XT and Super versions).
I'm planning to eventually upgrade my monitor, RAM (to 32GB), and storage (to SSD, either NVMe or SATA), but for now, I just want your thoughts on the best GPU for my current setup. Thanks a lot!

If you're mostly playing competitive games at 1080p, the RTX 2060 Super should do the trick. Just a heads-up, you might run into CPU bottlenecks if you go for a pricier card without upgrading your CPU, though.
I would suggest going for the RX 6600 XT. Honestly, unless you upgrade your CPU, I don’t recommend going for anything higher. I had an i7-6700k, and when I jumped from a 1070 to a 3080, it was a major bottleneck. My CPU hit 100% usage while my GPU was barely at 50% until I finally upgraded the CPU. The AMD cards are still performing really well as far as I know.
Honestly, I’d recommend looking into complete pre-owned PCs. Given your specs, you could potentially find a better overall system for the price of just a graphics card. I get that prices might be high in Azerbaijan, but sometimes it's worth checking local listings to see if you can strike a deal!
Hey! You can actually save some cash by using discount coupons if you're buying multiple items. Here are a few I have:
- $5 off $25: RDC5A
- $10 off $50: RDC10A
- $20 off $100: RDC20
Make sure to check these out before your next purchase!
That’s a fair point! Unfortunately, prices here can get really steep even for used ones, and as a student, budget is tight. Still, I appreciate the suggestion!
