I'm in a bit of a dilemma about whether to choose the RTX 3060 or the RX 7600 for my build. In my country, both GPUs are priced similarly, with only a $10 difference. My plan is to upgrade my GPU first and then my CPU (a 3400G) in about 3-5 months. I understand there might be some bottlenecking with the CPU, but I'm not sure which GPU would be better for my setup. The 3060 has 12GB of VRAM, while the 7600 has 8GB. I've seen some performance videos on the 3060, but not much on the 7600. Considering the prices are the same and the 7600 offers a 2-year warranty compared to the 3060's 5-year warranty, what do you all think I should go for?

The RX 7600 does have approximately 10% more raw power, which is nice, but keep in mind that specific games, like ‘Escape from Tarkov’, could really push that 8GB VRAM limit. AMD's drivers also tend to be a bit lighter on the CPU, thanks to their hardware scheduler. If you’re planning on sticking with that CPU for a while, that could be a factor. Still, I lean towards the 3060 because of features like DLSS and more VRAM, which can be beneficial in the long run, especially as games get more demanding.

Good points! Since I'm gaming at 1080p and I can make use of features like DLSS, the 3060 does sound appealing.

I'd recommend going for the RX 7600. It's a solid choice, especially if you're gaming at 1080p. The 7600 tends to perform better in games that don’t require more than 8GB of VRAM. For most games on high or ultra settings at that resolution, you'll be good to go! Plus, if you're not pushing for 4K textures or tons of ray tracing, the 8GB will suffice. If you're into esports, it’s especially worth considering the 7600 since your next CPU upgrade will handle those games well. The 3060 is two generations behind, while the 7600 is more up-to-date!

Thanks! I was thinking 1080p too, so that sounds promising. I appreciate the insight!
