My 3080 10GB has finally died, and now I need to replace it. I'm considering whether to go for the 5060 Ti with 16GB or the 5070 with 12GB, but there's a price difference of about $130. What do you all think? Also, could anyone share common reasons why a 3080 or other GPUs might fail, and what steps I might take to fix it or ways to dispose of it? I'd prefer to repair my 3080 if it's an option, but I'm open to suggestions! Thanks in advance!

If you need Nvidia's features like CUDA for work, then definitely stick with the 5070 since it’s faster. For gaming, if you don’t really need those features, the RX 9070 is a fantastic choice with similar performance and it has 16GB of VRAM.
I’d definitely recommend the 5070! It’s a solid performance upgrade over the 5060 Ti. Also, don’t overlook the 9070 16GB if it's within your budget; it's really worth it! The 5060 Ti doesn't quite stack up against what you had with the 3080.
If budget isn't an issue, go for the 5070. It outperforms the 5060 Ti in every aspect. Plus, the price of the 9070 has come down recently, so it's worth considering too!
If you're worried about VRAM, the 5070 is great, but you might want to check out the 9070 as well. It usually justifies its price with better performance.
Yeah, the 5070 and 9070 are usually priced based on performance, and while the 9070 offers more VRAM, it comes with some trade-offs on features.

I just snagged an RX 9070 16GB for $509, and I can say it's been absolutely worth it!
