I'm trying to figure out which graphics card would offer the best gaming experience on a 4K 120 Hz TV (Sony A80L). I picked up a 9070 XT for $580 but my friend suggested that the features of the 5070 Ti, especially DLSS, could make a big difference when upscaling for the TV. The 5070 Ti is available for $750. I play a lot of AAA games and have switched from Xbox, so I'm keen on matching that 4K 120 fps. Is switching to the 5070 Ti worth the extra cost? Here are my PC specs: CPU 7800X3D, 32GB RAM (Crucial 6000 36C), ASUS TUF GAMING B650E-E motherboard, and a 2TB Evo Pro SSD. Thanks!

In pretty much every way, the 5070 Ti outperforms the 9070 XT aside from pricing. If you can return the 9070 XT, going for the 5070 Ti is a smart choice if you’re looking for the best experience on that TV.
Both cards perform at a similar level for most scenarios, but the key difference lies in upscaling tech. While FSR4 competes with DLSS4, DLSS4.5 has taken the edge. Check out some performance comparisons online to see if that $170 difference is worth it for you. If you want the best ray tracing experience, Nvidia still holds an advantage over AMD cards.
This question pops up all the time! Just search for '9070 XT vs 5070 Ti' and you'll find a ton of threads. Basically, the 9070 XT has a bit less performance overall, but it costs less. If you don’t need CUDA support, you should weigh whether that slight performance drop is worth the money saved.

But the performance difference isn't just slight—we're talking about better ray tracing with DLSS. Plus, AMD often doesn't update drivers much for older cards, which is something to consider before your purchase.
