I'm planning to install Linux on my second laptop, which I mainly use for streaming. My previous experience is with SteamOS, and I don't mind tinkering with software. I'm looking for suggestions on which Linux distribution would be fun to try out and work well for streaming.

If you're looking for something straightforward, Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop is a solid choice! It's quite popular for a reason.

Hey, that's awesome you're diving into Linux! To give better suggestions, it would help to know your laptop's hardware specs, especially if it has an Nvidia GPU. Also, do you have a preference for desktop environments like KDE, Gnome, or Cinnamon? If it's just for fun, experiment with a few and consider trying Fedora Workstation for a different vibe from SteamOS.

Ubuntu is hard to beat! It has excellent compatibility, plenty of tutorials, and a massive community. It’s a great base to start with before considering any distro-hopping later.

You should definitely check out Distrosea! It's a website that lets you try out different Linux distros and desktop environments quickly. Personally, I love Kubuntu and Linux Mint with Cinnamon—they're super user-friendly and great for your needs!
