I'm considering making the switch from Windows to Linux after a year of customizing my Windows setup with tools like Flow Launcher and Rainmeter. I've had fun tweaking things but I'm completely new to Linux and still trying to grasp how it works. My main question is whether Linux Mint would be a good start for someone like me, or if I should dive right into something like Arch or Fedora KDE to get more customization options.

Any Linux distribution can work; it really comes down to the desktop environment (DE). For customization, KDE is great as it offers a lot of options right out of the box. I'd suggest starting with Fedora KDE or Kubuntu for more flexibility.
Mint is a solid choice for beginners. It’s user-friendly and allows a decent amount of customization. If after a few months you feel ready to explore more, you could consider moving to something like Fedora KDE. But for now, sticking with Mint would be wise!
Yeah, I think starting with Mint will give you a great foundation without overwhelming you. You can always try more advanced distros later!
Customization can be really fun on Linux! Check out resources and themes for your desktop environment. Sites like Cinnamon Spices and the KDE Store can give you a ton of ideas on what you can do once you're comfortable!

I definitely agree! KDE is super customizable. Avoid going straight for Arch as it might be overwhelming at first.
