Which Linux Distro Should I Choose: Mint or Fedora?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on choosing the right Linux distribution for my needs. I have some experience with Linux but haven't done much outside of virtual machines, except for brief use of PopOS. I'm currently torn between Mint and Fedora. I've narrowed down my usage to gaming and some creative work, like music production and 3D modeling.

I'm considering Mint for its stability, but I'm worried about using older kernels and software versions. On the other hand, I find Fedora appealing for its up-to-date software and decent stability, even though I'm concerned about its somewhat limited user base compared to Debian-based distros and the future of Red Hat. Also, I plan to use the Cinnamon desktop environment since I'm not a fan of GNOME's heaviness or KDE's aesthetics. Lastly, I'll be using an Nvidia RTX 3060Ti, and I've heard installing drivers on Fedora can be tricky. Any insights on which would be better for my mixed-use case? Thanks!

If you're inclined towards having updated packages and want a smoother experience, I'd say go for the Fedora Cinnamon spin! Installing codecs and hardware support has become a lot easier, so you shouldn't face major hurdles there. I personally use a version called Bluefin, which is Fedora Silverblue with some useful extras, and it's been super stable for me over the last two years since I ditched my distro hopping.

Oh, I’ve heard good things about the Cinnamon spin too! How does it compare to the standard Debian distros? I’m curious about the performance differences.
