Which Linux Distro Should I Pick: Fedora or Nobara?

Hey there, fellow Linux enthusiasts! I'm ready to make the leap to Linux for good after a ton of research. My primary uses include coding (I'm a CS major), listening to music (huge Spotify fan), some light gaming (mostly indie, and a bit of piracy for AAA games), taking notes (I use Notion and Obsidian), and reading documents. I'm also gearing up to dive into game development with Unreal Engine on my Asus TUF F15 (complete with RGB lights). So, I've been exploring my options for a distro, and after trying Fedora KDE for a couple of weeks, I ran out of space! Now that my semester is wrapping up, I'm ready to fully migrate, but I'm torn between two choices: Fedora and Nobara. I have a soft spot for Fedora since I've used it before, but Nobara seems to simplify installing Nvidia drivers, which has been a real headache for me. Any advice from you all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Check out the distro selection page in the wiki; it's a great resource! Just remember to back up regularly and test things out in a VM. It's always good to understand every command you use before hitting Enter!

Installing Nvidia drivers on Fedora gets a lot easier after you've done it once. Once you enable RPM Fusion, it's pretty straightforward. Honestly, it can feel like a nightmare the first time, but trust me, it's manageable!

If you're looking to control the RGB lights on your Asus laptop, consider installing asusctl. If you prefer a GUI, the ROG Control Center can help you with that. They both let you manage the RGB settings, fans, and power modes effectively!

What about supergfxctl? Is it similar to the ROG Control Center but without the GUI?
