Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to building PCs and I'm looking for some advice on upgrading my setup. My current parts are starting to fail, and I mainly use my PC for gaming and heavy design work in software like Adobe, Maya, and Unity. I've got two options to upgrade, and I'm trying to figure out which is a better deal:

**Option 1:**
- Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B860M-A WIFI CSM
- Processor: Intel U7 265KF
- RAM: G.SKILL RIPJAWS M5 NEO RGB DDR5 6000MT/s CL36 (32GB; 16GBx2)
- Cooler: CM Masterliquid 240L Core ARGB Aio
- PSU: ASUS ATS 850G FULL MODULAR GOLD
- Case: COOLER MASTER ELITE490 M-ATX TG BLACK
- Graphics Card: Reusing my Asus RTX 4060 8GB
- SSD: Reusing my Samsung 970 Evo
- HDD: Reusing my 1 TB HDD

**Total Cost:** $981 SGD

**Option 2:**
- Motherboard: Asus B650M-A Prime Wi-Fi II & Bluetooth
- Processor: Ryzen 7 7700
- Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 - Black
- Graphics Card: Reusing my RTX 4060
- SSD: Reusing my Samsung 970 Evo
- HDD: Reusing my 1 TB HDD
- RAM: KingBank RGB Soarblade DDR5 6400 MHz CL32 (32GB; 16GBx2)
- PSU: Cooler Master MWE V3 850 W 80+ Gold
- Case: Asus PRIME AP201 - BLACK
- OS: Un-Activated Windows 11 Home 64-Bit, plus service fee for installation

**Total Cost:** $1100 SGD

I would love to hear your thoughts on which option might be better for my needs! Thanks!

It looks like both builds might be overpricing a bit, especially since you’re reusing many parts. With a budget around $1000 SGD, you could potentially get better performance with an AMD Ryzen 5700X3D or 5800X3D paired with an RX 5700 XT or a 9060 XT. This would allow you to build around that and save some cash on the motherboard by opting for a B570 or B580 board. Plus, you could upgrade to faster DDR4 RAM and ditch the HDD for a new NVMe M.2 drive. Also, consider investing in a decent monitor if that's not included in your plans!

So you're saying both options might not be worth it? Just so you know, the prices I shared are in SGD, not USD.
