I'm new to building PCs and trying to figure out which processor to pick for a mid-tier setup. I'm considering the Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 8700F, or Ryzen 5 9600X. Also, what would be the best chipset for their motherboards? Any help would be appreciated!

If you're open to suggestions, the Ryzen 7700 might actually be a better fit depending on what you need it for. It’s worth looking into if you want something more powerful.

For a budget-friendly build, I'd recommend going with the Ryzen 5 9600X paired with a B650M motherboard. It's a solid choice and a modern combo. Avoid older options like the 5600X or 8000-series CPUs; they're just not worth it.

You might want to clarify what you're planning to do with the PC to get better suggestions. Different tasks really call for different specs.

Overall, the 9600X is a solid pick! You'll get decent performance without breaking the bank.
