I recently purchased an 8GBx2 6000MHz CL36 Kingston Fury RAM kit for my PC, and I mentioned to my family how tricky it is to find RAM at reasonable prices. They surprised me with a 16GBx1 kit that has the same speed and latency, bringing my total to three RAM sticks. I'm now confused about the best configuration for them and how I should place them in the slots. Here are my options:
1. 8GBx2 in DIMM 2 and 4, with 16GB in DIMM 1.
2. 16GB in DIMM 2 and 8GBx2 in DIMM 1 and 3.
3. Just 8GBx2 in DIMM 2 and 4.
4. Just 16GB in DIMM 2.
I'm also considering swapping my 8GBx2 kit for a 16GBx1 kit to have a better total configuration, but that sounds like a hassle with the current RAM market. What do you think I should do?

If you’re mostly gaming, I recommend using the 8GBx2 setup in DIMM slots 2 and 4. It helps optimize performance. If you’re running out of memory often, the first option with 8GBx2 and 16GB in DIMM 1 would work well too.
You might want to check your motherboard manual for the best RAM configuration. It usually gives specifics on how to set them up based on capacities and speeds.
