Hey folks! I'm looking for some advice on choosing between the Kingston Fury Renegade and the Crucial T500 SSDs. I want to upgrade my gaming PC with a Gen4 2TB SSD that includes a heatsink. I've searched online but can't find much comparison between the two. Price-wise, I'm not overly concerned about the $33 CAD difference. I've heard some people say that the Kingston might be more consistent and have better compatibility. What do you all think? Thanks for your help!

Honestly, if you're just gaming, any NVMe SSD will give you a similar experience. If your motherboard has built-in heatsinks, you might not even need one at all. As for consistency and compatibility, all NVMe drives use the same slots, and PCIe is designed to be backwards and forwards compatible.
Check out this review on the T500: [Review Link](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/crucial-t500-2-tb/18.html). The Kingston Fury actually performs similarly to the KC3000 and seems to edge out just a bit, but really, you won't notice much difference in real-world use. Go for whichever one is cheaper!
I'd go with the Kingston. Micron's pulling Crucial from the market, and while they promise support, I’d feel safer with a brand that’s less likely to disappear. You have to think about future support if things go sideways, right?

That makes a lot of sense! I’d rather not gamble on if I'll get a replacement in a few years or not, even with their warranty.
