I recently downloaded the Debian 13 LXQT Live ISO and checked the checksum before adding it to my Ventoy USB stick. However, upon booting, I was greeted with a login screen and couldn't log in with either 'user | live' or 'user@debian | live'. My Ventoy USB works fine with other distributions like Mint XFCE and AntiX, so I'm hoping someone can help me get past this login hurdle!

Check out the Debian wiki for Live CD usage—it mentions that you can use 'user' with the password 'live' to log in. I wouldn't have expected to find it there, but it's a useful nugget!
Usually, you should just be able to click the login button without entering anything. Have you tried that? Sometimes the automatic login feature can be finicky.
Have you tried using 'root' or 'demo' as login options? That's worth a shot. Also, it's kinda odd that Debian’s KDE Live version auto-logs in. Maybe the issue lies with Ventoy? Some users have reported problems with it.
If you're not finding the default credentials on the Debian website, that can be weird. It might be worth checking the download page or any documentation they provide to see if they've listed any login info.
