Why Am I Getting Japanese Ads and Recommendations on Google Safari?

Hey everyone, I could really use your help. Lately, when I search on Google through Safari, I've been bombarded with Japanese ads and suggestions. I tried changing my language and region settings, which helped with the Google app, but Safari still shows me those Japanese characters and ads. It's only happening on my phone—my laptop is fine. I thought it might be related to a VPN issue, but I don't have one on my phone anymore. I even tried different default browsers and sent a message to Google about this, but I wanted to see if any of you have encountered this problem or have ideas on how to fix it while I wait for a response from them.

Have you checked if your default search engine is set correctly? Go to Settings > Safari > Search Engine and make sure it's not set to google.co.jp. Sometimes it can default to the Japanese version without you realizing it.

I checked that, and it only shows a generic Google option. When I switch to other search engines, the Japanese recommendations disappear, which makes me think my Google account on the phone is somehow set to Japan. I even attached a screenshot of the search engine options I have.
