Why am I not getting responses for Cloud and Support Jobs?

I'm in my final year of a B.Tech program in India and am eager to land an entry-level job in Cloud Support, SysOps, Linux Admin, or Technical Support. I've studied AWS fundamentals like EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch, along with Linux basics such as systemd, logs, and SSH troubleshooting. Additionally, I've learned some networking concepts like DNS and HTTP/HTTPS, basic Bash/Python (including Boto3), and Git. Although I'm building projects and documenting troubleshooting scenarios, I haven't had any internships. I've started applying for jobs but haven't received much feedback. What do you think I'm missing? Is the lack of experience a significant barrier, or should I be focusing on internships first? I'd really appreciate your honest insights!

The only position you listed that truly fits the entry-level label is Technical Support. Don't rush into roles that require a lot more experience. Focusing on getting internships first could give you the practical experience employers are looking for.

Honestly, your skills look solid, but the job market is really tough right now. Those roles you're targeting often require more experience than what they label as 'entry-level.' I suggest focusing on internships or getting into entry-level technician roles to build your experience. Anything that gets you real-world exposure will really help.

It sounds like you're a bit ahead of the game with the skills you have, but many of the roles you're aiming for typically aren't truly entry-level. Without any hands-on experience, most companies might only consider you for Level 1 helpdesk positions right now. It's a good idea to look for internships or even entry-level helpdesk jobs to get some practical experience under your belt.

It’s very likely that your lack of hands-on experience is holding you back. The industry often views roles like Cloud Support as not truly entry-level, so internships or helpdesk positions would be beneficial. Showcase the projects you've worked on as they can help demonstrate your capabilities, but you’ll need more real-world exposure to land those other roles.
