Why am I not seeing a performance boost with my new GPU?

I recently upgraded to a 9060xt from a 1660 Super for gaming, particularly in Valorant. Despite the upgrade, I'm not seeing a significant difference in FPS. With the 1660 Super, I used to get around 200-250 FPS, but with the 9060xt, the performance seems pretty much the same. I've noticed that both my GPU and CPU aren't running at full capacity. Is my i5 11600k not cutting it, or is there something I can do to improve this without having to buy a new CPU?

Consider overclocking your CPU or tweaking your memory timings. Sometimes there's a memory bandwidth issue that can show up before you actually hit a CPU bottleneck. Just be careful with the overclocking—check how far you can safely push it without causing overheating or instability.

Thanks for the tip! Do you have any recommendations for how much I should overclock it?

In games like Valorant, it's likely that your CPU is bottlenecking your performance. It can happen even when the CPU isn't maxed out. Check how much your GPU is being used while you're gaming; if it’s below 100%, that’s a sign your CPU might be holding it back too much.
