Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my setup from an older Xeon E5-2680 v4 and Hunanzhi motherboard to a new i5-12400F with an ASRock B660M Pro. Since the upgrade, I've noticed that my frame rates in games like CS2 and League of Legends seem capped at 165 FPS. Even when I run the Heaven Benchmark, it maxes out around 167 FPS. My RAM is set up correctly on an XMP profile in dual channel mode. I expected to see better performance with these new components. Can anybody help me figure out why my FPS is limited like this?

It sounds like you might be hitting the refresh rate of your monitor. If you have a 165Hz monitor, then your frame rate being capped at 165 FPS is pretty normal. It’s like your monitor can only show you that many frames. You could try disabling V-Sync in your game settings to see if that changes anything! Let me know what happens!
Yes, I do have a 165Hz monitor, so that makes sense!
