I'm using a Ryzen 5600G paired with an RX 580 and have 8GB of DDR4 RAM, playing at 1080p. I previously used a Xeon E3 1246 v3, and surprisingly, my FPS while playing Valorant is nearly the same as before. Benchmarks suggest I should be averaging around 250+, but I'm only seeing around 110-150 FPS, and it sometimes drops to 90 during Team Deathmatch. Additionally, I recently started using a boot device that belongs to a friend; she borrowed my RX 580 with her Ryzen 5. I'm not sure if she's experiencing the same issue. Can anyone help me figure out why my FPS is so low and how to fix it?

When do you notice the lower FPS? Is it during specific gameplay moments or consistently? Also, make sure VSync isn’t enabled, and since you swapped the GPU, you should uninstall all AMD drivers using their Uninstaller—not just the one from programs. Then reinstall and check your FPS again at 1080p.
It sounds like CPU throttling might be an issue. I recently upgraded my cooler from the stock one to a $10 ID-Cooling tower, and it made a huge difference. My FPS in CS2 jumped stable to 200 instead of fluctuating between 130 and 50. You might want to look into your cooling setup and consider upgrading if needed!
A couple of things might be happening here. First off, I’d say definitely check your RAM—having 8GB is decent, but doubling it could help not just with framerate but also with overall smoothness. Also, make sure your CPU isn’t throttling. If you didn’t change the cooling when you upgraded, that could be the problem.
Your RAM configuration could be affecting your FPS. If you're running in single channel, that's a big factor. Don't forget to enable XMP or DOCP in the BIOS, as forgetting this can seriously impact performance. If you're unsure, post a ZenTimings screenshot for more specific advice.
