Hey everyone! I'm having frustrating issues with random crashes while playing games on my recently purchased RTX 3070 Ti. I got it secondhand but it's a brand new RMA replacement, and while I do believe the card is in good shape based on the benchmarks I saw, I'm still facing problems.
Here's the scoop:
- **Path of Exile:** The game crashes unpredictably, whether I'm in my hideout or in the middle of an intense map fight. Sometimes it lets me play for about 15 minutes before crashing. Here's a snippet from the logs I found that might be relevant:
- "The GPU device instance has been suspended... The GPU will not respond to more commands..."
- **Warframe:** This game is pretty much unplayable for me right now. It crashes frequently, even at the login screen with just my character showing. When I can actually get in-game, it crashes almost immediately. The logs give me errors about "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" which sounds serious.
- **World of Warcraft:** It usually runs without major issues, but occasionally the screen goes black, and the game needs to rerender after a few seconds, messing up my resolution.
- **Elite Dangerous:** No problems at all here; everything runs smoothly, even under heavy load.
Here's my setup:
- MSI x470 Gaming pro max (with XMP on and game boost off)
- Ryzen 5 3600
- 1x16GB 3200MHz RAM
- Super Flower Leadex III GE 850W PSU
- Acer 180Hz 1440p monitor and a Dell 60Hz 1080p secondary monitor
I've also attempted a full DDU before installing the latest drivers (576.40) after switching from a 1060 6GB. My CPU is also well within safe temperatures, staying below 70°C.
If anyone has any suggestions or insight into what's going on, I'd really appreciate the help!

It sounds like a driver issue; have you tried rolling back to a stable version of the NVIDIA drivers? The newer ones can sometimes cause weird problems with specific games. Use DDU to make sure the old drivers are fully removed before reinstalling a previous version.
Thanks for your input! I actually tried version 566.14 but didn't have any luck with that either.
