Why are my games displaying at 1080p instead of the set 1440p?

Hey everyone! I'm running into an issue where my games, specifically PEAK and Battlefront, seem to be playing at 1080p or lower, even though I've set them to 1440p. My monitor indicates it's at the native resolution, but whenever I tab out, I get a black screen that seems to indicate a resolution change. I've got an NVIDIA 4070 TI. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The black screen you’re experiencing doesn’t necessarily mean your resolution is changing. Some games use exclusive fullscreen mode, which can cause that. You might want to switch to borderless fullscreen to avoid the black screen issue altogether, and see if that helps your resolution too.

Thanks for the tip! Do you know if that affects the resolution at all? I’ve noticed the FPS counter from NVIDIA looks low quality when I’m in those settings.

This could be related to DLSS settings. Some games might not support it, which can affect how they're rendered. It’s worth checking to see if DLSS is being forced in your game settings, even if the games themselves aren’t supposed to use it.

Yeah, DLSS came to mind initially, but I didn’t think it was supported in those games. I’ll check if it’s enabled anywhere.
