Why Can’t I Access BIOS After Installing New RAM?

I recently upgraded my RAM, adding a second kit of 2x 8GB DDR4 sticks for a total of 32GB. I know it's usually better to use the same brand and speed, but the second kit was only $10, so I went for it. Now, whenever I boot my computer, it skips the BIOS screen and jumps straight to the Windows login. I tried running the Windows memory diagnostic tool, but it just resulted in a black screen that forced me to shut down my PC. Even spamming F2 during boot didn't help; it also led to a black screen. Additionally, there's a red light next to the RAM slots on my motherboard when I first power it on, which changes to white before going off. Did I accidentally enable a setting on my motherboard when installing the new RAM? It's odd because I haven't noticed any RAM stability issues. Here are my specs: my motherboard is a B450-F, the original RAM is Corsair Vengeance 3200, and the new RAM is G.Skill Aegis 3000.

It sounds like you've mixed different RAM, and that's likely causing the boot issue. Try clearing the CMOS to reset any settings. If that doesn't work, remove the new RAM stick and see if you can access BIOS. Your system might not like having mixed RAM.

Everything else seems fine, though. I can play games and the system recognizes all 32GB of RAM.
