Why Can’t I Access My SSDs on Linux?

I've been using a thumb drive to run Bazzite, but I can't access my SSDs while using Linux. Every time I try, it prompts me for a password. I've attempted several fixes, including granting full permissions on the Windows side, entering my Windows PIN, disabling Fast Startup in Windows, and even turning off encryption. Unfortunately, none of these work. I've searched on YouTube for solutions but haven't found anything helpful. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I could try?

Consider checking if there's a distinction between your user account password and the root password. Mounting drives typically needs root permissions, so it may be worth trying those passwords if you have them set differently.

What password is it asking for exactly? Sometimes, it may require a specific encryption password to mount the drives, or it could just be your admin password to access them. Some Linux distributions have security settings that prompt for a password when mounting internal drives.

It sounds like the issue might be related to the type of encryption you're using on the drives. Are they encrypted with BitLocker? If that's the case, Linux usually struggles to read drives encrypted this way unless you use specific software to unlock them. If you're unsure about the encryption, you might want to check your device encryption settings again to verify what’s going on.
