Why Can’t I Find DDR5 Memory for My Build?

I'm building a PC setup with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT and an MSI Pro B550M-VC WiFi Micro ATX AM4 motherboard, but I'm stuck when trying to search for DDR5 memory on pcpartpicker. I really don't know what I'm doing here. Can someone explain why I'm not able to find DDR5 options and what compatibility issues I might be facing?

Here's the deal: your AM4 motherboard, which works with the Ryzen 7 5800XT, only supports DDR4 RAM. So that's why you're not seeing any DDR5 memory options. If you want to use DDR5, you'll need to upgrade to an AM5 motherboard and CPU to make it work.

Ohhh okay. That makes sense. I assume they can just be faster with DDR5?
