I recently installed Windows 11, but I'm only seeing the small 100GB partition where Windows is installed. I thought it would split my hard drive into two distinct drives, C for the OS and D for storage. Am I mistaken? Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling or formatting? Thanks for any help!

You should check out Disk Management. You might see the empty partitions there. Just right-click on them and select "New Volume" to set them up as your D drive. It's pretty straightforward!
Did you start with any partitions already? Also, did you mean to create Windows with just a small partition? What's the total size of your hard drive? Knowing this will help clarify things.
No, I didn’t have any partitions before. I wanted a small partition for Windows so I could keep my files safe when reinstalling. My drive is 1TB, and I was hoping to use one part for storage.
Thanks! Since my C drive is only 100GB and I'm using 27GB of it, will I be able to install programs on the new D drive to help with space?
