Why Can’t My Laptop Find My NVIDIA Graphics Card?

I've got a Nitro AN517-52 laptop that I use for gaming, but today I noticed something off. When I logged in, my frame rates dropped dramatically to around 11 fps. I tried upgrading the graphics driver, but it says 'no NVIDIA graphics card detected in your system.' This is puzzling since there should definitely be one in there. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

It sounds like your system is having trouble detecting the graphics card. Start with checking the Device Manager; that's where Windows shows all connected devices. If it's missing entirely or marked with a problem, we should investigate further. Also, make sure you're not looking under processors! Try the Display Adapters section.

First off, check if your NVIDIA graphics card appears in the Device Manager. If it’s not listed at all, you might want to check your BIOS settings to ensure it’s enabled—sometimes they can get disabled accidentally. If you can't find it in either place, there might be a hardware issue at play.
