Why Did My Hard Drive Space Drop After Upgrading to Windows 11?

I recently upgraded my laptop's factory 256GB hard drive to Windows 11, and now I'm only seeing 117GB available. I've checked Disk Management, but I don't see any additional partitions. What steps can I take to troubleshoot this issue?

Upgrading shouldn't affect your partitions like that. Can you share a screenshot of your Disk Management? It might help us diagnose the issue better!

It’s possible that Windows 11 created hidden recovery or system partitions during the upgrade. Check in Disk Management for any 'Unallocated' or unnamed sections at the bottom. If you don't see anything, tools like MiniTool Partition Wizard or EaseUS Partition Master can help you find hidden space. Just be careful not to delete anything unless you’re sure about it, as it might be recovery data.

I tried using MiniTool, but I didn't find anything unusual. Here’s the screenshot: ![screenshot link](https://preview.redd.it/t6tfpqfplz0f1.png?width=1366&format=png&auto=webp&s=2f8e0deb811935eb30d59d18f84440a0aa6be625). Any other ideas?
