Why Did My Microsoft Secure Score Points Change?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to understand the changes in Microsoft Secure Score that affect our total points. We're aiming for a KPI of 60% by June, and I noticed that as of May 5th, we hadn't reached it, but now it suddenly shows we have. When I checked the history, I saw our score was consistently over 60% before, but it looks like the total points have been reduced.

Just to clarify:
- On May 5th, we had 844.39 out of 1422 points.
- On May 20th, that changed to 847.54 out of 1385 points.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does this happen often, and is there a way to view these changes?

Yeah, the total points in Microsoft Secure Score can definitely change over time as the security landscape evolves and they update best practices. It's also based on your tenant size, so bigger organizations might see different recommendations. You can check the 'Improvement actions' list in your Secure Score dashboard to see what's specifically applicable to your org.

Is there anywhere I can keep track of these changes? I’d prefer to see more detailed points instead of just percentages.
