I was using Fedora with KDE when I paused my music to run to the kitchen. When I got back, the music had started playing again. I'm wondering if this means I've been hacked or if it's just a coincidence. I checked things but maybe not thoroughly enough. I'm using Google Chrome to stream music from YouTube. By the way, I unplugged my in-ear monitors (IEMs) earlier because I usually leave them in all day. When I returned, I plugged them back in, and I also had CS2 running. Has this kind of thing happened to anyone else?

IEM stands for in-ear monitor. It could be that you accidentally pressed play or maybe even a weird bug in your software. It happens sometimes, so I wouldn't worry too much unless you notice it happening frequently.
Sounds like it might just be a glitch or maybe your cat accidentally hit the keyboard while you were away! I’ve got KDE Connect set up so my music pauses for calls and resumes automatically, and sometimes it resumes when I’m not even near my PC. I’ve accidentally hit play while wearing earbuds before too, it's super easy to do. By the way, what’s an IEM?
