I recently used my partner's new iPhone to check out a TikTok video on Safari since we don't have the app installed. While trying to navigate the site without downloading the app, I noticed that Safari's suggestions displayed a pornographic website (xnxx) right above the Favorites. My partner was understandably upset, claiming they have never visited that site before, and this is a brand new phone from their carrier. I checked my Safari suggestions on my own iPhone, and all I see are links from texts I received from friends and my partner. I'm curious about how Safari suggestions work—why would a porn site show up, and could this be something tied to a previous Apple account history or a potential security issue? I'd appreciate serious insights on this, thanks a lot!

You can actually create a new profile in Safari to keep things separate. Just go to Settings > Safari and scroll down to find 'Profiles'. By setting up a new 'casual' profile, you'll have a clean slate with its own history and suggestions—completely disconnected from the main one. But just a heads up, it seems likely that your partner's Apple account might have visited that site on another device, which could be why it showed up in the suggestions.
Thank you so much for the advice!
