Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated because it seems like I keep killing monitors! I have a Legion gaming PC that I bought about four years ago, and I've already blown through five monitors since then. It's just my setup — the other monitors in my house are fine. I've switched my computer around to different rooms and outlets, and still, it's only my monitors that keep failing. Just the other day, one went kaput in the middle of a YouTube video while I was getting ready to print something! I borrowed my brother's display tablet to troubleshoot, and it worked fine, so it seems like it's something with my setup. What could be causing this?

Could you share some photos of the monitors that have blown? Also, what brands are you using? Personally, my monitors tend to last for ages; I’ve got some that are over 20 years old and still operational with regular use. That kind of longevity makes me curious about your setup.
It sounds like it could be a few different things. One possibility is that the GPU output is sending too much voltage, or there might be some kind of shock hitting the monitor. Check if you're using a DisplayPort cable; if it has pin 20 connected, that could be a problem. Also, make sure you haven’t accidentally overclocked your GPU settings, which can damage displays too. My guess is either of these could be the culprit, or maybe you're just gaming a lot, hitting the monitors' lifespan harder than usual.
