Why do some websites become unreachable after a few days?

I've been experiencing a weird issue where certain websites I visit just stop working after a few days. They seem to work fine on another browser, but once I switch back to my main browser, they won't load. I primarily use Gecko-based browsers and have tried a bunch of tweaks, including de-hardening and changing DNS settings, but nothing seems to fix the issue. I've observed that if I keep a website open and then close my browser, upon reopening it later, those pages refuse to load again. Sometimes refreshing the browser helps, but it feels like there might be an IP block involved since even other browsers struggle to access the sites too. Strangely, these websites occasionally start working again on their own. I tried to find information online, but I'm hitting a wall. I know rate limiting might be a factor, but I'm not sure if that's the case. I'm not very tech-savvy with the specifics, so any insights on why this might be happening would be great!

It seems like a DNS issue might be at play here. Sometimes, if your ISP's DNS isn't resolving correctly, it can cause certain websites to be unreachable. You could try flushing your DNS cache or using a public DNS server like Google DNS or Cloudflare DNS to see if that changes things.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll give flushing the DNS a shot and see if that helps.

It sounds like it could be a few different issues. First, make sure your browser is up to date; an outdated browser can cause all sorts of problems. Another thing to check is your computer's clock. If it’s off, that might lead to issues with website loading. Lastly, you might want to look into your DNS settings. If you're having trouble across multiple devices, consider asking your internet provider to refresh your modem; that could help reset any connection problems.

I've noticed that some websites work fine while others don't, which leads me to think it could be server-related. Also, my clock's always in sync, so maybe it’s something else.
