Why Does My Audio Sound Off After Resetting My PC?

I recently reset my PC and now the audio through my headphones sounds really strange. I've already reinstalled all the drivers, but the sound issues persist. When a sound is coming from my right, I can't hear it in my left ear, and it's the same vice versa. Can anyone offer advice on what to check or how to fix this?

It sounds like you might have used the built-in factory reset option. A lot of users have reported issues with it messing up their audio settings. A clean install of Windows could help solve your problem instead. Have you thought about doing that?

If you'd like to do a clean install, you can create a bootable USB drive with Windows installation media. Make sure to back up your files first! This usually fixes issues that come from the reset methods.
