I've noticed that my browser consumes a ton of RAM when I'm using it for activities like streaming YouTube videos, watching movies, or running code on Google Colab. Is there a specific reason for this high memory usage, and are there any effective solutions to manage it?

It really depends on the browser you’re using and how many tabs you have open. For example, when I’m streaming a 1080p video on one tab, my browser can use anywhere from 770MB to 1.5GB of RAM just for that. It’s pretty common nowadays for browsers to consume a lot of memory, especially with multiple tabs open.
I've tried both Firefox and Brave, but they both seem to have the same issue.
