I started having issues with my computer crashing unexpectedly whenever I open some specific applications, like Steam and Discord. It seems to freeze completely, and the only way I can get it to respond is by holding down the power button. Oddly enough, the audio continues to play during the freeze. I've already cleaned out my fans, cleared up storage, and reinstalled the affected apps, but nothing has worked. I suspect it could be a RAM issue, but I'm not very familiar with BIOS settings or the insides of my PC. Can someone guide me on how to troubleshoot this problem?

It sounds super frustrating! First, could you share more about your system specs? That might help pinpoint the issue. You can find it in your system settings or using system information.

Sure! Here’s what I have: Device Name: DESKTOP-LULST07, Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 16GB RAM, SSDs for storage, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 graphics cards. Not sure if that's helpful!
