Why Does My Computer Randomly Shut Off While Gaming?

I've been experiencing an issue where my computer randomly shuts off during gaming. When this happens, the power button light goes out, and my mouse and keyboard lose power. The monitors display a message indicating there's no signal, which makes sense since the PC appears to be powered off. However, the lights inside the case remain on. I can't get it to turn back on by holding the power button or pressing the reset button; I have to go to the back of the computer and either flip the PSU switch or reset the power strip. Has anyone experienced something similar or know what could be causing this?

Make sure you’re aware of your system specs too. With a Ryzen 9 7950 and an RX 7900 XTX, your system can draw a lot of power. It might be useful to measure the load and see if the current wattage is sufficient. If you’re still using a HIVE 750S power supply, it might be worth looking into how much power your PC is actually pulling.

It sounds like your power supply might be struggling under load, especially during gaming. If it’s overheating or can’t handle the power demand, that could cause your PC to shut off. You might want to double-check your PSU's performance, particularly if it’s an older model, just to see if it’s time for an upgrade.
