Hey everyone, I've been trying to switch to Linux for about a year now, but my laptop (Latitude 7480) freezes with every distro I try. At first, I thought it was an issue with my SSD, so I swapped it out, but I still experience the same freezing problem. The entire system locks up, and I have to do a hard shutdown to reboot. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, I'd really appreciate your help!

You might want to consider trying Debian since it's generally known to be stable and works well with older hardware. Using XFCE as your desktop environment can also help, as it's lightweight and won't use too many resources.
When does the freeze occur for you? Is it at the boot screen or after you log in? This could help us pinpoint the issue better.
It usually happens while I'm working.
