Hi everyone! I've got an ASUS VivoBook that was working just fine, but now it's going into sleep mode almost right after I power it on—usually within 30 seconds. I've tried disabling the sleep settings and changing the screen-off options, yet nothing seems to fix the issue. The weird part is that it doesn't go to sleep in safe mode, which suggests it could be related to something beyond basic power settings. I've also read that it might be linked to the graphics card, which I need to update, but I can't do that while it keeps entering sleep mode. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

First off, check if your laptop is plugged in properly. If the battery's low or not working right, that might cause it to sleep unexpectedly. Also, make sure there's nothing magnetic nearby that could be tricking it into thinking the lid is closed, like a phone or other devices.
Have you tried booting into the BIOS? Sometimes you can keep the laptop on longer there before it goes to sleep. If the power jack is faulty, it might be triggering the sleep mode because it doesn't recognize that it's connected to a power source.
It recognizes that it’s plugged in since it works fine in the BIOS and safe mode—just not when I boot normally.
You should look for power management settings that control critical battery levels. It might be that your battery isn't charged enough to keep the laptop awake, which can trigger it to hibernate prematurely. Check those settings to adjust what happens when the battery is low.

Yeah, my battery hasn’t been working for a while, so I always keep it plugged in. I removed my phone to check if it was interfering, but the sleep issue persists.
