Why does my laptop randomly shut off or screen out after booting?

I'm dealing with a frustrating issue on my school laptop. It unexpectedly shuts down or the screen goes black about 30 to 60 seconds after I boot it up, and this happens without me even touching anything. I've noticed that if I lightly tap near the trackpad, the entire laptop instantly shuts off or the screen just goes black, and there's no sound at all. Oddly, sometimes it shows the battery at 0% even though I just charged it to around 80-90%. I haven't dropped or damaged it in any way, and this problem started occurring suddenly. I previously had to fix a broken screen about two weeks ago for around 150€, but I'm curious about what hardware issue could be causing this and if it's something that can be repaired.

Have you noticed if the laptop stays on when it's plugged in? It might help to narrow down whether the issue is battery related or something else.

Yeah, it still shuts down even when it's plugged in.

Could it be something related to the recent screen repair? Sometimes if the battery isn't connected properly or if a connection was missed, it could lead to random shutdowns. You might want to check if everything was properly reconnected during the last fix.

Actually, this issue has been around for a while before I got the screen fixed. It’s kind of a long story, but I had it for a couple of years, and I was hiding the laptop’s problems from my parents until I had to fix the screen recently.
