Why Does My Linux Installation Keep Freezing?

I'm trying to install Linux on my Lenovo Legion R7000P with an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX and RTX 5060, but it keeps freezing at random points during the installation process. I've attempted to install Nix from the console and Cachyos graphically, but each time, the system becomes unresponsive, forcing me to shut down. I did manage to install Cachyos once, but it still freezes while I'm using it. My BIOS is fully updated, and I've followed several guides to troubleshoot this, including adding 'nomodeset' to disable the NVIDIA driver and trying to use the SysRq key, but none of these have helped. Does anyone out there know what might be causing these freezes and how to fix the issue?

Have you checked for any error messages during installation? It might help to get a better idea of what's going on. Sometimes using a wired connection for installation can help too. And remember to remove the boot media after you're done!

I haven't seen clear errors, but I did notice some ACPI BIOS errors popping up at shutdown. Could that be linked to the freezing?

Honestly, if you're new to Linux, it might be a bit steep at first. It's not the easiest OS to install without prior experience. But don't get discouraged! Focus on a more user-friendly distro like Fedora or Ubuntu. They tend to have better support for hardware like yours.

I see your point, but I'm really trying to get the hang of it. Are there specific things I should be aware of to avoid these freezes?
