Why does my monitor occasionally go black for a second?

I've had my LG Ultragear 24G411A-B monitor for about two weeks, and it's been performing well. However, over the past week, I've noticed that it randomly goes black for a brief moment, usually about a second before the display returns. This happens at least once a day. I'm using a DisplayPort 1.4 cable at 144Hz with the overclock feature enabled. I've tried several things to fix it, including unplugging and replugging the cable, switching to 120Hz, toggling HDR on and off, disabling FreeSync, and turning off Adaptive-Sync. I also made sure my Windows OS and graphics drivers are up-to-date, but nothing seems to work. I have an AMD RX 6500 XT graphics card, and while scrolling online or sometimes during gaming, the black screen occurs. I'm considering switching to an HDMI cable or investigating whether my power supply might be the issue. Any advice or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated!

First thing to try is switching your DisplayPort cable. A lot of times, a faulty cable can cause these intermittent black screens. It’s one of the most common issues, so that’s worth testing out!

I had the same issue with my MSI monitor! What helped me was disabling something in the NVIDIA settings, but since you're using AMD, it might be a different route. Try looking for any similar settings in your AMD controls to see if you can toggle anything that might help.

Yeah, but what would be the AMD equivalent of that Nvidia fix? I’d love to know too since I’m all-in on AMD!
