I've been experiencing a weird issue with my computer lately. For the past five weeks, it sometimes gives off a current that causes a tingly sensation when I touch it, especially on my mouse hand. This sensation can be quite intense, making me feel dizzy and even giving my heart a weird skip. I've had to stop using the PC because of it, especially when my chronic illness symptoms are flaring up. I went to the ER the first time it happened, but after following some advice from a local electrician, I did a thorough check-up on my setup. I unplugged everything, cleaned around the power supply, and made sure all wires were intact. The electrician checked the home wiring and confirmed everything was grounded correctly. However, one monitor was found not to be grounded, but the electrician didn't think it would cause the issue. I plugged my PC into a different outlet, but the problem persists, especially when it rains, which I suspect may contribute to the static electricity because of my dry ceramic floors. My partner even felt it while using my PC. I've also swapped out the PSU cord and mouse but to no avail. I'm really confused and worried about this! Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the grounding of your power supply? It might be the main culprit here. Also, trying out a wireless mouse could help narrow down whether it's the mouse or something else causing the shocks.
Just to add on, static can be tricky. Sometimes, changing your environment—like adding moisture to the room or using an ESD strap—helps. If a monitor is not grounded, even when plugged into a surge protector, it might be causing your issues. It’s smart to test your setup without that monitor connected.
The ungrounded monitor could definitely be a suspect! Have you tried disconnecting it from your setup? Using an electrostatic discharge (ESD) strap could also help. I've seen similar static issues before, and they can be pretty baffling. It's all about isolating the problem!
