Why Does My PC Only Start After Removing the CMOS Battery?

A few days ago, I enabled TPM 2.0 in my BIOS to prepare for a Windows 11 upgrade, but it led to an issue where my PC would power on without any display. The only way I found to fix it was by switching off the power and removing the CMOS battery from my motherboard. Now, I have to do this every time I want my PC to start, and I'm worried it might damage my components in the long run. Any advice on how to fix this properly would be appreciated!

Have you thought about just replacing the CMOS battery? If it's failing, that could be the root of your issue. Sometimes, older batteries can cause startup problems, especially after making changes in BIOS.

I hadn't considered that as a possible cause since I assumed it was related to the BIOS changes. Do you really think the battery could be the issue?
