Why does my SSD show poor health despite looking fine in S.M.A.R.T details?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my SSD's health. I'm using GIGABYTE CONTROL CENTER to monitor my Kingston NV2 1TB SSD. Here's what it shows:
- Model: KINGSTON SNV2S1000G
- Power-On Time: 1388 hours (about 2 months of use)
- Temperature: around 39°C (103°F)
- Drive Health: Poor
- Estimated Life Remaining: 0%

However, if I check the S.M.A.R.T. details in the same software, they look just fine:
- Critical Warning: 0
- Available Spare: 100%
- Percentage Used: 5%
- Data Units Read: ~72 million
- Data Units Written: ~29 million

It's strange because while the software claims poor health and 0% life left, the S.M.A.R.T. stats suggest everything is normal. I haven't experienced any system crashes, slowdowns, or freezes while using my computer, including gaming. But this 'Poor' status with '0% life' is a bit concerning. Any insights? Thanks!

Great that you checked with CrystalDiskInfo! That confirmed your SSD is actually 95% healthy. It's a good reminder that sometimes the software can mislead us. Keep an eye on the health reports regularly!

I recommend using Kingston SSD Manager to check the health of your SSD instead: https://www.kingston.com/en/support/technical/ssdmanager. I trust that tool more than GIGABYTE CONTROL CENTER. Also, checking with CrystalDiskInfo is a good idea to cross-verify.
