Hey everyone! I just got a Tecnoware Era 1500 Plus UPS, and I'm curious about its performance. When my battery level is at 40% and I lose power, it only lasts about a minute. I have a decent gaming PC and an OLED monitor, but I feel like this is way shorter than expected. The UPS is rated for 480W active power and can handle up to 1050W for computers. I initially thought it was a 1000+ watt unit because I deal with frequent blackouts. Is this a defect, or is this behavior normal? Sorry if my English isn't great; I appreciate any insights!

If you're still within the return window, you might consider sending it back. Some users have reported similar experiences, and if the tool says everything's okay, it could be a defect only identifiable through use. Plus, you have a 5-year warranty for battery issues. It can't hurt to get it checked out!
Hey! I think I can help clarify this. Your model is rated at 1500VA, which sounds good, but keep in mind that it translates to around 1050W in usable power. According to the CyberPower tool, if you’re running at 450W, you should expect a runtime of about 10 minutes—not just one. It’s normal for there to be some variance, but I wouldn't expect it to be that short. Just make sure nothing else is draining power while it's running.
Interesting info! So does that mean if I push closer to its limit, it will drain even faster?
Yeah, that makes sense. I’ll try testing it at lower loads to see if my runtime improves!
Great suggestion! Always best to err on the side of caution with these things.
