I've been experiencing some frustrating issues with my HP tower running Windows 11. It keeps disconnecting from WiFi for random periods, anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, while all my other devices remain connected just fine. Here's what I've tried to resolve it:
- Restarting both the modem and router
- Restarting my computer
- Updating Windows
- Forgetting the network and adding it back in
- Setting a fixed IP address for the device on the router
- Changing the preferred DNS servers
- Reinstalling the WiFi adapter
- Running commands like 'ipconfig /release' and '/renew', 'netsh winsock reset', 'netsh int ip reset', and 'ipconfig /flushdns'
- Performing a network reset through Windows
- Reinstalling Windows 11 while keeping my files
- Giving it a good cuss-out and maybe even threatening it with a hammer!
One thing I've noticed is that my network adapter, the Realtek RTL8852BE WiFi 6 PCIe adapter, doesn't seem to have an option to modify the power settings. This whole situation is driving me crazy, and I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out!

I get your frustration! Just a thought: have you considered that your neighbor's new WiFi might be causing interference? Sometimes, nearby networks can overlap and cause connection issues. It could be worth checking out some apps that show WiFi channels to see if that's the case!
It sounds like interference could be at play here. A simple fix might be to swap out your current WiFi adapter for one with a better antenna. If you have an old router lying around, you can set it to function solely as a receiver and connect it to your PC via an Ethernet cable. Alternatively, a USB WiFi dongle with a larger antenna could be a quick and cost-effective solution.
