Hey folks, I'm hoping to get some insights on an issue I've been struggling with. I have a 1080p 120Hz monitor that supports Adaptive Sync, and my PC is equipped with an i5-14400 and an RTX 5060 Ti. Here's the thing: when I play games, they feel really choppy with micro stutters, even when my FPS is above my monitor's refresh rate, unless I enable V-Sync. It's only when V-Sync is turned on that everything runs smoothly. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and do you have any ideas on what might be causing it?

Have you checked if G-Sync and V-Sync are both enabled in the NVIDIA Control Panel? If adaptive sync is working correctly, your FPS shouldn't exceed your monitor's refresh rate unless those settings are off. It’s a common setup oversight!
It might be related to your connection setup. Make sure you're using the right cable—HDMI can sometimes be less reliable than DisplayPort for adaptive sync features. Also, check if your monitor has a certification for G-Sync or FreeSync; compatibility issues could lead to the symptoms you're seeing. What cable are you using?
I'm using DisplayPort, and it's been the same with another PC too.
I had no idea I needed to turn V-Sync on for G-Sync to work, lol!
