I'm having a frustrating issue with Windows 11 on my Acer Aspire E5-473G. After a clean drive installation, it crashes soon after I boot it up. I've only installed a few programs, like Chrome, Steam, and Office, yet this is the fifth time I've had to reinstall the OS. My boot device appears to work fine, and all my laptop specs check out: Intel i5-5200U, NVIDIA 940m, with a Samsung EVO 970 SSD and a Seagate HDD. Recovery mode doesn't help either. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

I had similar headaches, and I found Windows 10 LTSC IOT 2021 or Linux Mint to be a great alternative. They both worked without crashing, and the Windows version even gets security updates until 2032. Might be worth a shot!
Have you checked if your boot drive is actually working properly? Sometimes it can appear functional but might be failing. I faced a similar situation, and after replacing the drive, everything worked fine again. You might want to run some diagnostics to ensure all is well with your hardware.
I did test my drive and it's brand new, so I know it's not the problem. I even swapped it into another PC and it worked just as expected.

Did you have any success with Ubuntu? I'm not super familiar with Mint.
